Just a Cat on the Street

I watch you, everyday
Passing by me with the bags
I watch you every night
Coming back home, tired
Did you ever notice my presence?
Did you think of what I feel?
So why not just stop for a minute
And think about me for a while
I’m just a cat on the street

Seasons come and go
Flowers bloom and wilt
Leaves grow and fall
You man, wear and change
But it’s only my bare fur
What I cannot change
I’m just a cat on the street

My neighbors sleep till noon
On fluffy huge beds
Neither they eat the same
Nor they wear the same
But it’s only me
Eating from the bins
And sleeping on the paves
I’m just a cat on the street

You’ll poke me if you have the mood
You’ll ignore me the next day
And you’ll punch me out someday
But it’s just only me
Who never keep the hatred
And try to join you in play
I’m just a cat on the street

I’m not like a dog
Not greedy for meat
I’ll love you from my heart
Can you just be sweet
So I can be your friend
But you never hear me
Neither you wanna feel me
I’m just a poor cat on the street

Oh You, my sweet Home!

The busy world never amuse me
Neither it’s more peaceful than you
You never suffocate me in fumes
You never let me be a stranger
Oh you my sweet home!
I’ll never betray you!

You never shine with neon, but
You shine with harmony
You illuminate peace and
You reflect real nature
Oh! You my sweet Home!
I’ll never betray you

You never taught me cruelty
You never confused me with humans and animals
You never let the beggar sit there
You never refuge his nights on the streets
Oh! You my sweet Home!
You will never betray me!

Your sky is blue
Your air is scented
Your birds sing lovelier
Your streets are safer
Oh! You my sweet Home
I’ll never ever feel better than yours!

I’m tired of hastening
I’m not for here
I’m always your member
You hold my identity
Oh! You my sweet Home
I’ll always come back to you!

Do you remember?

Do you remember?
When your mom informed you of your school
When friends talked about it
When you watched the big boys going there
While you had been dreaming of it
Do you remember?

Do you remember?
Your dad brought your first set of books
You saw it as a big surprise
You were just impatient to write on them
Do you remember?

Do you remember?
When your bag was presented to you
When no other friend has of that type
But you thought it was out of fashion
Do you remember?
When you were gonna be unique

Do you remember?
When your Mom bathed you
When she fits you on the white shirt
A black short and a black shoe
When your face was with full of white powder
Do you remember?

Do you remember?
When your G.Ma guide you there
Where you have been wondering about
When you line up with them
When you sang with your little voice
Anxious about what’s gonna be next
Do you remember?

Do you remember?
When you wonder about the boy next
When you wonder about the man with mustache
When you wonder why you were taken there to
Do you remember?

So now you should remember!
Wherever you are or whatever you are
Those memories are the tiny beginning of your life
They have their share in your life
Do you remember? Yeah you should!

Childhood

New dawn has broken
Shone up the beaches
Little boys up on the feet
Calling all their peers
To gather for the joy

Some with sleepy eyes
Muttering with the flies
Sandals being forgotten
Run to their peers
To make their day of joy

No one is left
All pass through the mist
Through leaves; full of dew
To a beach; lit with red hue
For another awaiting joy

Sing with the rising sun
Dance with the waves
Hop with the breeze
Making shadows on the horizon
Sharing the joy with the nature

The Bad (Old Regime)

Oh you my peers
You are not betrayed
Good has been hiding
As you have confused it with bad
After you have named it with “the bad”

Open your eyes
Handle all the keys
Of your homes
To look for the good
When you have covered it with “the bad”

Wake up from the dreams
Hesitate not to heal yourselves
Better dust off your minds
When “the bad” has been nesting in your minds

You’ve been seeing Mirage
You’ve been locked in a carriage
You can make a hole, just at least
And let the wind of changes come in
Cos you’ve been locked in “the bad”

You’ve been steered to wrong
By a captain named wrong
You’ve been just saved
When you were almost dead
But you are still singing songs of “the bad”

Did anyone warn of you?
Till the man from your own blood
Was thrown and dragged
In the battle of saving you from “the bad”

About Me

My photo
I call them neither songs nor poems. You may call it whatever you want. They are just words running through my mind.
